Parental control is the need of the hour, a fact that is not unknown to any of the individuals. The need for parental control has not only increased but has also become more pressing due to some other factors.

The issue of parental control is not something new, it has been a topic of discussion for quite some time, but despite this, the issue is not solved yet.

The most important aspect of parental control is that it helps children in the age group of tweens and teens to make the right decisions and not be misguided. Though there are many parental control apps available, they have certain shortcomings, which affect the performance of the app.

The main aim of YouTube is to make it a safe and healthy environment for all children. YouTube will be offering parental tools to all the parents and families with tweens and teens, who have outgrown Youtube Kids app.

These tools will help in setting time limits for watching videos, and also ensure that the children watch only the appropriate material for their age group. The new features would include a mechanism that allows parents to block certain videos, such as ones with profanity or violent content.

The new features would also allow parents to set the amount of time that their children can spend watching YouTube videos daily and set up an e-mail address that their children can use to seek help if they encounter objectionable content. The ability to comment on the videos will also be limited to prevent bullying.
